Together We Overcome

Awareness

A symbol of hope and strength in our darkest days, we should not have to wait for a specific day, week or month to raise awareness on mental health.

2020 has shown us how important it is to stay connected to one another. No matter your lifestyle age, sex  or race.

It has felt like a nightmare we couldn't wake from and due to this even more people are struggling with their mental health. Individuals who have never experienced these thought or feeling, who never thought they would feel so alone and vulnerable to the harsh realities of our own minds.

Rates of suicidal thoughts have increased during lockdown, especially among young adults by 60%

and further studies are showing the rise in individuals who have sadly taken their own lives during the pandemic.

we know that one of the most common coping strategies many of us are using during these times is connecting with friends and family online. We must also realise that due to the stigma that does still exist around mental health stops people from opening up.

We want to do all we can to promote positive mental health, to allow others to speak out, tell their stories, and coping mechanisms.

Connect with not only friends and family but neighbours, other organisations, businesses even a complete stranger on the other side of the world.

This is our aim, there is no end date to this campaign because mental health will always be something we need to speak about, support and help each other overcome.

Together we can overcome the struggles of mental health.
